FIREWORK INFORMATION FOR RIVERTON CITY:

RIVERTON CITY FIREWORKS UPDATE

Governor Cox has updated the statewide fireworks restrictions, and Riverton's fireworks restriction map that was previously approved by the City Council will be in effect through July 25.

That means legal fireworks may be used July 22–25 in areas that are not designated as restricted.

After consulting with Unified Fire Authority and reviewing current fire conditions and available firefighting resources, Riverton determined that the existing restriction map remains the safest approach for the Pioneer Day holiday. This allows fireworks in lower-risk areas while continuing to protect neighborhoods and open spaces with the highest fire danger.

The following dates and times are when fireworks may be legally used in non-restricted areas of Herriman.

Visit Herriman.gov/fireworks to view the interactive map with outlined restricted areas where fireworks may not be set off.

Additionally, all public parks and school properties, including all parking areas, are restricted.

To report fireworks use in restricted areas, please call the non-emergency dispatch line at 801-840-4000.

Mad Matt's Herriman is waiting for the official decisions of Herriman City, who is waiting on the State Forester, to declare whether or not the fireworks restrictions will be lifted for July 24th. We are crossing our fingers that we will be able to open next week.
We will post as soon as we know whether or not we'll be open. 🤞🏻
