reminder that the Artist of the Month reception is this Thursday, the
9th, from 5-7 pm. It is for Carolyn Barton and Paula Canup. We'll also
be in the store from 1-4 on Saturday.

Thursday, October 21, from 5 – 7 PM Marilyn Jobe will meet customers at a special reception held in her honor at ArtWorks. Refreshments will be served and items will be for sale. Artist of the Month
Joy Garcia
Joy is a fabric artist who has been sewing since the age of four. While
growing up in Haddock, GA, near Macon, she was taught by her grandmother and great grandmother to sew, quilt, tat, crochet, cross stitch, and most importantly, think for herself. For the past twenty years, she has lived in Hayesville, NC, where she has sold her work in many local craft shows.

Next Meeting: In lieu of the monthly meeting is the annual Guild Picnic which will be held at : Clay County Recreation Park on June 8, 6:00 PM. Lynn Richardson will take care of the food. Main meats will be hamburgers, hot dogs and brachwurst. Please bring side dishes or desserts. This is open to members' families also, not limited to Guild members themsleves.

Art Works Artisan Centre is proud to present Ann Thompson of Hiawassee as April’s Artist of the Month. Come by Art Works on Saturday, April 3rd, from 1 – 4 pm to meet this talented artist. You will also have the pleasure of watching Judy Brotherton, this month’s demonstrating artist, as she quilts with vintage fabrics from the late 1800’s - 1930’s.

Mountain Fling - June 26-27- 2010 North Georgia Technical College, Blairsville, Ga. Hours - June 26 - 9 - 5 p.m. June 27 - 11 - 4 p.m. This is a juried Arts and Crafts show. Many of the artists and crafters will be demonstrating. We will be serving food at this show. Bar-B-Que and all the trimmings will be on the menu with wonderful homemade desserts. ENTRANCE AND PARKING ARE FREE
