I feel the need to express our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of concern and understanding this past few days as Bon Bon’s Market has been closed since Thursday.
Also, while we are pretty private people in our own lives outside of our interaction with our customers, it is only fair to give an explanation for our closing.
Michael my husband had a life threatening episode that took us on a very scary journey that now has been assessed, tested, treated and stabilized with medication. What seemed a sudden out of nowhere situation, we now know this has been building for some time and we just did not recognize the signs.
It of course, took precedence in our lives in every aspect, one being the closing of our business while getting him the proper care and diagnosis.
We are a small family business in our community, and we recognize the importance of being open to serve our much appreciated customers, it is so heartwarming to have witnessed the outpouring of love and support from all, not knowing exactly why we closed but the recognition that if we did it had to be serious.
Thank you’s do not seem enough, but please to each and every one of our customers near and far, know we are so grateful.
We are truly blessed to live and have our little business in Hiawassee where we are surrounded by some of the best humans that God saw fit to put on this Earth, and that this little town attracts the good good folks from everywhere that somehow find our little store and let us know we are doing something right.
Long post, and I will end with these other much needed thanks.

My Miss Anita Hicks and Family member Steve Parker who helped us do things at the store in our absence that were critical.
Our wonderful long time family and friends that do not live here but are our life support in so many ways.
