One of the best ways we can support western NC is to encourage tourism to the area. Some people are posting things about how nobody should visit Asheville or visit western NC but not visiting western NC would destroy so many small businesses that rely on tourism. Restaurants, hiking, camping, yoga retreats, etc etc etc. And those tourism businesses then spend money in the local area and employ people.

In the coming months Hickory Antiques Mall will be donating a portion of sales profits to local relief efforts for Helene in western NC. Come by the mall for details- we’re open 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 1pm to 6pm.

We also intend to install a community bulletin board where locals can advertise and post.

Well that Helena Whistle really did blow! We are open this Saturday September 28th. We hope everyone is safe, and repairs are made in good order after Tropical Storm Helene. Hours are 10am to 6pm M-Sat and 1pm to 6 pm on Sundays.
