If you haven't procured a copy of the most hyped GN of the year, nay, the decade by now... well, you're probably out of luck😭.

John Byrne's X-Men: Elsewhen is an absolutely mind-tilting return to the X-Men, reimagining the issues immediately following the events of X-Men 137, but with Jean Grey depowered and not dead. Among the most eagerly awaited events of 2026, it does not disappoint. With only 25000 copies available, it is completely sold out, with a second printing coming later.

I will have multiple copies for sale in the coming weeks, so check back to see if they've available. This is really fantastic stuff.

Well, over the years, I've had a lot of interesting, cool, and valuable things come in.

But this is a first.

Just got this. For you Golden Age fans, collectors and enthusiasts, I give you an original piece of comic inspired art from the renowned Golden Age comic and pulp artist Jim Wilcox. Appears to have been commissioned for a fan or friend, done in pencil and charcoal. For those who are unfamiliar with him, he drew the very first illustrations of Conan in 1933. Afterwards, he illustrated Wow and Blue Bolt Comics from 1940-1947.

This is a ridiculous find. I'll be having this authenticated in the near future.

Update: after some collaboration with a couple of people who are more familiar with than me, they believe the inscription was actually made out to Tom Gill who was a contemporary artist on Blue Bolt with Wilcox, and who had illustrated vast numbers of pages of detective and pulp crime books, hence the nickname "Shamus" slang for detective.

The wife and I left town around lunch time Friday and drove across the border into Tennessee for a little couple get away. While we were there I had the opportunity to (very quickly) visit and plow through several flea markets, thrift stores and a couple antique malls all within 5 Mi of each other Friday evening and a little Saturday. Didn't find anything that was going to change your life, but there were some really great fun books to be found in those flea market dollar bins and some of the old thrift stores that hadn't been been touched by anyone for a long time, by the dust gauge. The highlights:

*Wonder Woman 1-3 2nd print pack UNOPENED. Been looking for one of these for a long long time. Hyper hard to find. Most expensive purchase this weekend at $20.
*Planet Of The Apes 22 Again, very HTF in high grade.
*Daredevil 141 & 146 3rd and 4th Bullseye app.
*Power Man Annual 1 - this is the highest grade copy of this book I've ever seen in my life.😁
*Superman 261 the Nick Cardy Star Sapphire Cover.
*2 great 1972 Supergirl books. All the DC books were hiding in a corner booth of a thrift store underneath a pile of LIFE mags, unfortunately along with a dozen 1960s romance books that had been put in photo sleeves with the adhesive attached to the bottom of the comics and which had torn off the bottoms of several of them.😩
*Just look at that Li'l Pals 1 & 3. I've never seen copies of this book that didn't look like they've been hit by a train.
*Hanna-Barbera & House Of Secrets? Yes please.
*Not pictured, several dozen 1978 Firestorm, Blue Devil and Booster Gold issues, great run fillers.

Six hours of running around, but what a fun hunt and a great bunch of books!!

Great Silver collection pick up today, these are some of the highlights! Gotta love the conditions of the DD books, especially the number 7, and how about the 3-D Batman?? Hey, comic book enthusiasts, have I got some great news! Debuting at the Pop Culture Productions Pop Culture Expo this weekend in Wilmington NC - the first appearances of the Great Mobile 80's Comic Shop™!

What is the Great Mobile '80s Comic Shop™? Thought you'd never ask! So for you older fans, you may remember going into shops when you were a kid in the '80s and even the '90s and being able to go through dozens and dozens of boxes and there were full runs of your favorite series. But times change. Comic shops steadily added toys, games, cards, and all kinds of over things to remain afloat and successful. But that meant sacrificing a lot of space for actual back issues. Couple that with the arrival of CGC, variant covers, and key books becoming the center of the universe, and it just got really tough to find those filler books.

I hear from collectors at shows all the time that they can't find the books they're looking for because no one ever brings them to the show. Well, that is about to change.

Beginning here in Wilmington this weekend, and continuing at every show henceforth, I will be bringing every Marvel & DC series that was available & that I have issues of from the 60s all the way through the '80s! So if you're missing Iron Man 86, or Ragman 4, or Marvel's Greatest Comics 23, this is your lucky weekend. Bring those lists, you know the ones, on tiny little notebooks that you can't even read anymore, trashed pieces of paper you scribbled down issue numbers on for years, those binders with meticulous check marks beside every issue & all the pertinent information about each one. Because you're going to fill those runs out once and for all!

In addition I'll have a new Golden Age collection just picked up this weekend heavy on Looney Tunes, early Walt Disney books, New Funnies, Four Color, Little Lulu, and Golden Age romance and comedy. And as always, the Wall Of Horror™ will be on full display with pre-code horror galore, including beautiful Frank Frazetta, Lee Elias, Russ Heath and LB Cole covers.
