✨ GRAND OPENING DAY ✨

Last week was one of those moments we will remember for the rest of our lives! Standing inside Moss & Birch, surrounded by friends, family, customers, and so many incredible people from our community — including Mayor Guess and the Hickory Chamber of Commerce — reminded me just how powerful vision, prayer, and perseverance truly are.

What started as a quiet dream in my heart has now become a space filled with warmth, creativity, and connection. Moss & Birch isn’t just a boutique… it’s a reflection of everything I love about Hickory: our history, our resilience, our sense of belonging, and the way this community shows up for one another.

Having the mayor and the chamber here today wasn’t just an honor — it felt like a blessing, a confirmation that Moss & Birch has found its rightful place in the heartbeat of downtown Hickory. Standing inside the historic Harris Arcade, a building that holds so much of this city’s story, made the moment even more meaningful. I’m proud to add a new chapter to this beautiful space.

To everyone who came out, who cheered us on, who prayed for this vision, who believed in us even when the days were long and the nights were stressful… thank you. Your support means everything to me.

Here’s to stepping boldly into the future while honoring where we come from.

Don’t Sleep Tomorrow Night! 🌌

The Orionid Meteor Shower is reaching its peak on October 21–22, and the night sky is about to light up with shooting stars streaking from Orion’s constellation.

This annual celestial show, created by dust and debris from Halley’s Comet, can bring up to 20 meteors per hour under dark skies. The best time to watch? After midnight until dawn, when Orion rises high and the sky is darkest.

Find a quiet spot away from city lights, let your eyes adjust, and just look up — the universe will do the rest.
