Mike Thomas flew his Bullet Bobby XXL to and altitude of 1500 feet with an AT I161 motor.

Mike Thomas flies his “Quack-A-Gee” which faintly resembles a LOC “T-LOC.” He flew it with a Research J460T motor to an altitude of 1300 feet (it was HEAVY!) at which time it released a 12 foot diameter rubber ducky parachute.

Members of the solid-propulsion rocket team from the University of Akron with their two-stage entry that they will be flying in the 45K multi-stage division at IREC in Midland, TX next month. Powered by a 6" O motor in the first stage and a 98mm N motor in the sustainer. Both motors are Research propellant mixed and cast by the team.

NOTRA members Chip and Randy Jenkins made the trip out to the Mike Dutch Memorial Muckfest!(Formerly URRF) this past weekend and fortunately the weather was good and they were able to fly all three days.

A member of the University of Akron's rocket team cleaning up the ends of the 6" diameter grains that will be in the booster of the rocket they will use in the IREC competition next month. The sustainer is a 4" diameter N motor. The team will compete in the 45K Multi-Stage SRAD (Research motors) class, which they came in first place last year.

The University School rocket team came in third place at the Rocket for Schools competition held today in Sheboygan, Michigan. NOTRA member Jim Seibyl is the team advisor. Not bad for the first time!
