Flowers of the Lakes uses fresh, high quality stems that will last. If you wanna stretch them a little longer or if you have trouble keeping flowers, here are some mistakes you could be making!

1) Not trimming the stems before placing your flowers in water. Trimming stems at a slight angle increases water absorption and keeps stems from sitting flat on the bottom of your vase.


2) Not removing the lower leaves. If leaves sit in the water, they will rot and increase bacteria in the water.

3) Putting them in direct sunlight. Putting your flowers in direct sunlight will cause the leaves and petals to wilt and die faster.

4) Not changing the water. You should replace your water daily to keep flowers from sitting in water that’s growing bacteria and allowing for rot.
