Located on scenic US 64 just above Cullasaja Falls, Jackson Hole Gem Mine is a fun stop in the heart of Highlands’ waterfall country. Their covered patio makes gem mining a great activity for kids of all ages, rain or shine, with native gems like garnets, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethyst, and more waiting to be discovered.

Guests can choose from several bucket options, browse rocks and minerals from near and far, enjoy homemade boiled peanuts and fruit ciders, and even turn a favorite find into custom jewelry with help from experienced gem cutters and jewelers.
