After a very active and wet Spring and Early Summer, July and August have been very hot and dry.
Even with mulch and irrigation, the extended period of high temperatures takes a toll on the fir trees. This is the soil temperature difference with mulch vs bare soil. Mulch makes a huge difference in helping to protect the root ball.
We are ready for some cooler weather and have started preparing for our fall fertilizer application!!
