Experience the modern/ancient art form of Tapestry Weaving: Creating pictures with fiber!
A discussion of loom types, weaving history, and basic terminology will start our day. Then you'll warp the loom and begin your own tapestry art piece!
As we weave, various weft materials and weaving knots will be discussed.
You will take home a finished woven tapestry!

Veterans Arts Program at Paris Gibson Museum. Free art classes in a variety of mediums! March is Fiber Arts month!
Veterans join me in learning more about fiber arts as we create our own felt hat.
We will use two different techniques over the course of 2 two-hour classes during the month of March.
March 9th and 23rd, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Call the Paris Gibson Square Museum to register.
