I enjoy teaching all ages and experience levels of students, in a variety of musical styles including rock, metal, jazz, blues and popular music. I incorporate music theory into my lessons, tailoring instruction to each student's individual level of progress. My music education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies and Music Theory from Arizona State University and 2 years of Graduate Studie

s in Jazz Performance and Improvisational Theory from The Ohio State University. I have been recognized as the KUPD New Artist of the Year, Newtimes Weekly Best Rock Guitarist and Battle of the Bands winner (twice). My experience as an instructor includes -
