Pocket dumps are cool.

At REC, we do them a little differently.

Every Saturday the crew gathers around the stump and sticks whatever they’re carrying that day into it. No planning. No matching themes. No rules.

Sometimes a knife catches your eye because of the blade.

Sometimes it’s the handle.

We put these Wixco pieces out and immediately started hearing different answers around the shop.

One guy grabbed the blue one first.

Someone else went straight for the gray.

A few people didn’t even notice the same details until they picked them up and turned them in the light.

That’s probably the coolest thing about this group. Nobody seems to have the same favorite.

For their first knife, they skipped a lot of the gimmicks and focused on the fundamentals: CPM S35VN, crossbar lock, ceramic bearings, deep carry clip, and a shape that looks ready to go straight into a pocket.

Available in Red Aluminum, Green Micarta, and Gray G10.

Not bad for an opening act.

This might be the most dangerous thing to hand a knife person.

Because once they figure out how it works, they won’t give it back.

The Ranch Hand from Hellbender Blade Co. feels like it was designed around real use first and everything else second.
Compact enough to carry every day, large enough to get a full grip, and built from right here in the USA.
Magnacut steel, insanely comfortable milled handle scales, and plenty of options. Check out everything Hellbender has to offer here at River’s Edge Cutlery, they don’t seem to stay in stock very long.

Honestly, picking a favorite is the hard part.
