A little life update! 🤍
When I shared my post on Instagram in April, I honestly had no idea what the future would look like for me or for my baking. After moving to a new state, becoming a mom, and stepping away from something I had poured so much of my heart into, I knew I needed to give myself time to slow down and figure out what was truly right for me and my family.
Becoming a mother has changed my perspective in so many beautiful ways. More than anything, I want to be present for my daughter and have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. That is something that means so much to me, and it’s a decision I’ve thought about very carefully. At the same time, baking has always been a part of me. What started as something small in my little apartment in New Hampshire five years ago grew into something I never expected, and something I became incredibly proud of. The love and support I received from all of you made it even more meaningful. I never stopped loving it, even during a time when I wasn’t sure if there was still a place for it in this new season of my life.
Recently, an opportunity presented itself that may allow me to have the best of both worlds; to be the mom I want to be while also continuing to bake and create. After giving it a lot of thought, I’ve decided to take a chance on it. I don’t know exactly where this opportunity will lead, but I’m trusting that whatever is meant for us will work out in the best way.
This isn’t the return I once imagined, but maybe that’s the beauty of new chapters. Sometimes they look completely different than you expected, and somehow end up being exactly what you needed.
And with that… I’m so excited to finally share that the Phippsburg Planning Board has approved me to have a home based business!
I’ll be sharing more in the coming days about what this will look like for my customers, what I’ll be offering, and what this new chapter of baking will look like.
