Good morning, everyone.

Unfortunately, 517 Thrift Shop will be closed today. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, especially to those who were planning to stop in.

Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and understanding. This little shop means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for this amazing community.

❤️ One moment changed everything. Now our community has a chance to change something too.

What started as a simple summer day of fishing and riding scooters became something no family should ever have to endure.

As 12-year-old Lydia Baker and her friend were riding home, Lydia was attacked without warning by four pit bulls. Her friend made the impossible decision to run for help, knowing it was the fastest way to save her. Hearing what was happening, Lydia’s cousin, Nell, rushed to help. In the process of trying to protect Lydia, Nell was also attacked.

Both Lydia and Nell were airlifted and now face a long road of surgeries, healing, and recovery.

Stories like this remind us that tragedy can touch any family in an instant. They also remind us how powerful a community can be when it comes together.

❤️ 517 Thrift Shop is honored to partner with Tiffany Denbrock of Classic Cuts Salon to help raise funds for the Baker family through a special raffle featuring an incredible prize basket valued at over $400, filled with salon services, beauty products, gift certificates, and more.

🎟️ You can stop into 517 Thrift Shop anytime over the next 30 days to purchase raffle tickets. Every dollar raised will go directly to the Baker family to help with medical expenses, meals, gas, bills, and whatever they need most during this difficult time.
