Yep, it's confirmed. We are postponing the Kitefly Picnic at the Sculpture Fields until maybe September. Even if the rains cease by tomorrow, the fields will be soggy.
Meanwhile, arrange to have me help you make a kite so you will be ready by the Fall. I can help make paper and stick kites, diamond kites, delta kites, plastic, Tyvek or fabric kites. Reasonable pricing and a great art project that the family will remember for years.

After much consideration, the Kitefly and Picnic this Saturday at the Sculpture Fields will be postponed until later, perhaps until Fall. With rain and thunderstorms predicted through the rest of the week and next, it seems wise not to have the picnic and Kitefly.
Besides, as much as we need rain, we prefer people wish for rain instead of no rain. 🤪😜

I have been traveling in Turkey the last 3 weeks and here are some photos I took with a camera that I attached etc the line of my kite. The photos are in a story you may have seen or will see. I’ll post more here.
Meanwhile, this Saturday, May 23rd, many of us will make kites form 10 til 12 or 1, then fly kites in the afternoons at the Sculpture Fields. For those of you who miss the Sculptures in the Sky Kite Festival, this is the alternative. Bring a picnic, some drinks, and some kites; and come fly with us this Saturday, assuming it does not get rained out.
Kites can be flown anywhere given the right conditions. Let’s fly together on Saturday!

On my way to "fly forever" or 30 hours at least on the Outer Banks at the beaches of Oregon Inlet campground. This is an experimental effort to test our strategies and technique in flying kites for endurance. Joining me will be Russell Schwarz, Geoff Bland, and Nestor Riviera. Richard Cairncross plans to join us in March.
We will need a dozen more helpers in March when we attempt to fly for 180 hours. Will you join us?!
