The new Scudetto jig with swing single hook or Assist rigged Gamakatsu hooks is effective on all groundfish including Tautog. Took some nice ones in Buzzards Bay today using split crabs or ‘snafu’ rigging two hooks into a single crab. 🦀 orange color was the ticket.

I was asked at the Rhode Island show by a few folks if I’m still doing as much myself, by hand, at the bench as I did when I started the shop five years ago. The answer is ‘yes, no changes’. All the rigs, assist hooks and dressed hooks are all done by me. I rig up all the plugs and jigs and do all the final assembly. I’m sketching and tinkering. The architect in me isn’t going to let these things go. I’m the last person to see your stuff whether I send it to you direct or whether you get it from some of the great shops I’m privileged to partner with. Five years and counting.
