Well guys, the time at the Golden Unicorn has just about wound down. We'd like to thank the citizens of Holden for their patronage over the years, and to remind them we'll still be at the building as their neighbors. While the store is now in a state of being closed, we will still be available from time to time for private showings and larger items. For anyone who hadn't heard yet, we've got a bit of bad news. Marshall "Andy" Anderson passed away recently and his loss was heavily felt at the Unicorn. Though we all shed a few tears, we're trying to remember the beautiful creations Andy brought to the world and the joie de vivre he carried with him everywhere he went. I think his son said it best, and I'm paraphrasing as best I can here, "Every person Andy met was his friend." Andy, we love you and we'll miss you.

After the long cold SNOWY winter work is resuming on the new room remodel. New vendors are coming in regularly but space is still available. Come see the American Legion booth, artwork by Andy Anderson, Graffiti Mantis toys and the Bookworm.
We expect lots of new merchandise with the spring warm up. Come on by with a friend!

Art walk on Saturday, 11/13 from 1 to 6. Spend a unique afternoon enjoying the varied work of a dozen fine artists assembled for this event. The Golden Unicorn will host three artists: Paintings by Rosey Ferkovich, Wood carved signs by Kenny and Old master style ink drawing prints by Andy Anderson. Our art vendors feature hand painted saw blades by Katie McKay and beautiful beaded doilies by Catherine Clifton.

Just to let you know what's going on at the Golden Unicorn. We have worked very hard to prepare a room for our first inside consignment auction on Oct. 15 at 6:30 pm. Hope you can make it. I will post some new pictures as I can. The local post of the American Legion opening a large booth in the near future. Come by and see what's changing! The Holidays are fast approaching, come start your Christmas shopping!
