2 years. 2 years since our lives were turned upside down. 2 years since I’ve seen you or heard your voice. 2 years and it doesn’t get any easier. 2 years and I just get more angry, this is not fair. You should be here. I shouldn’t be here with my newborn visiting your headstone.

I’ve learned a lot in these two years—not just about grief, but about people and life.

The truth is, you never really know what someone else is going through. You can look at someone and think they have the perfect life, but you don’t see what’s happening behind the scenes.

We’re all fighting silent battles and carrying things we don’t always talk about. Sometimes people are falling apart quietly while still showing up, going to work, taking care of their kids, laughing, and pretending everything is okay.

2 years of goals being accomplished, memories being made but always missing a piece of us and a life time to to. Miss you always.
