Holland Bowl Mill

Holland Bowl Mill Handcrafting heirloom-quality wooden bowls, cutting boards, and kitchen essentials in Holland, Michigan.

Four generations of family tradition, sustainable practices, and lifetime guarantees. The Holland Bowl Mill prides itself not only in the quality of its bowls, but the great additional feature they are American made. We craft are bowls from American hardwoods Beech, Cherry, Walnut, Michigan Red Oak, and Hard Maple. Being environmentally friendly is an ongoing component of our business and is considered in all decisions in the production of wood products. We offer a lifetime guarantee for all our bowls and pride ourselves because at the Holland Bowl Mill we are manufacturing tomorrow's antiques that will last for generations

Thank you doesn't quite cover it, but it's where we'll start. Saturday's 120th anniversary celebration brought out neighbors, longtime customers, and a few faces we hadn't seen in years. We watched the big lathe in action, gave away raffle prizes, and shared the anniversary bowls, each one numbered and signed. A few are still available if you'd like one of your own. None of it happens without you!

It really is a family affair around here. Mike has been a "Mill Kid" since he was young, tagging along with his dad the same way Kory did with his. The two of them grew up at the mill together, and now Mike's the one running the lathe.

He's watched this place grow into something neither of them probably pictured back then. And he's not alone. A lot of our team has been here through all of it, the growth, the changes, the years. We're grateful for every one of them.

Maybe someday it'll be the next generation coming through these doors. Wouldn't be the first time.

See everyone tomorrow for the 120th.

It’s here! The 120th Anniversary Bowl is officially live!

We made 120 of them, one for each year the mill has been turning wood in Holland. Each one is individually numbered and signed by 3rd generation owner, Dave Gier.

Get yours before they’re gone: link in bio!

And if you’re free tomorrow, come see them in person. We’re celebrating 120 years at the mill, tent sale, lathe demos, raffles, the works.

Two days out. This Saturday, we're turning 120 years old, and we want you at the mill to celebrate it with us.

Saturday, September 5th, 10am to 3pm in Holland, MI. Walk through the mill and watch the big lathe run. Tent sale with product out for purchase. Raffles all day. Kids can get their face painted, try some chalk art, or have a 7" bowl finished and engraved for $15.

120 years of turning wood in this town. Come see where it happens.

Larissa came to Holland Bowl Mill looking for a job ten years ago. She found something else: room to actually make things.

That's part of what 120 years looks like around here. We're not around this long without a staff like ours, and we're grateful for every one of them.

Come see what we mean at our 120 Year Celebration and Sale this weekend, September 5, from 10 am–3 pm.

A little Friday history lesson before we get to the fun part.

120 years, four generations, one Michigan mill. Every bowl you've bought, every tour you've taken, every one of you who's stopped by the shop — thank you. That's what got us here.

Now let's celebrate. Join us Saturday, September 5th from 10am–3pm for our 120th Anniversary Celebration: kids' activities, raffles, food, live music, live turning at the big lathe, and a sale to match the occasion.

Mark your calendars. We'd love to see you there.

So excited to be featured on WGVU - NPR and PBS season premiere of Living West Michigan! Thanks so much for joining us!

JD and Sydney's guests signed this bowl at their wedding in July. We burned every name into the wood so it stays that way.

A guest book you can actually use! How cool is that. We're always open to custom orders and ideas like this one. Congratulations to the happy couple!

120 years deserves a proper celebration. Kory's got the highlights: live turning demos, a limited anniversary bowl, raffles, food, and kids' activities. September 5 at the mill.

And if you're not in the area, don't worry, you can snag one of the limited-edition bowls online too, while supplies last 😉

Most of what comes through our mill started as a tree that had already come down on its own. It could be anything from storm damage to old age or land cleared for something else.

It's what makes it an heirloom to begin with!
