We tie two different walleye harnesses, one is 3 ft long with two hooks, five beads with clevis and a Colorado blade. The othe has a gold slow death hook, five beads, colorado blade on a clevis and a barrel swivel because the bend in the slow death hook makes it twist as it is trolled to give the crawler more action to draw attraction.

I have mock scrapes in each area about 20-30 yards apart, and setup between the two. I try to use different scent in each. It makes it seem there are different deer around and mixes things up!!

One thing I always do is wear rubber boots with my camo when deer hunting. Some people are so careful about smell on their camo. But wear boots that they wear in the garage, gas station all over. I take mine off an on at the van where I store them

Bow hunting in Michigan starts Oct. 1st. I have my mock scapes started, trail camera's up., scouting done. Now I try not to go back in to those spots until hunting season.

As you may know we have been assembling and toning whitetail grunt calls and selling them for years at shows and at our Ebay store. When talking to hunters its seems they want to call or grunt to much.
On our hunting trips and research from pro- hunters. Less is best. Once every half or so seems to work well.

This weekend is the early anterless doe season here in Michigan.
I put in a couple of mock scrapes in at our property over Labor day weekend.

It's that time of year wear deer hunting is done, maybe some late season goose hunting. Or snow goose hunting. But a growing population of hunters go after Turkeys. Most state that have them do have a season. It's a lot of fun
But in Michigan it's this time of year when they have the sporting expos, hunting show, etc. Lots of these have seminars on several types of game, new products, technics, lots of networking with others, lots to learn get out there and learn.

It's been a easy winter so far in Michigan. The deer and Turkey have had a good winter so far. Yesturday I seen about 10 bearded Turkeys all together. Start scouting any time!!
