Friends, it has been such a sweet season in this little flower stand. ��To those who stop faithfully every week.
To those who drive out this way just to get flowers.
To those who have driven by for years and finally stopped for the first time this year.

Thank you!��It’s such a treat to have this cutie cute space to fill with flowers for YOU.

You might be driving by and seeing flowers out in the field, yes.

But 1. Those flowers are a lot more tired up close ;) ��And 2. I am needing to shift my energy elsewhere as we move into October.

So for now, our flower stand is closed. But I will be eager to fill her up in the spring with all the beautiful tulips that will burst forth!

Y’all. Honesty hour.

I am SO burnt out.

Have been this whole year.

Hard to put into words/describe. But when I say I’ve been considering throwing in the towel, I’m being so for real.

Not only is this business a lot of work. It’s a lot of work for what I’ve been calling “side hustle money.” The number of hours compared to the number of dollars is not mathing.

So when the passion isn’t quite there, and if the math is mathing, it makes it reallyyyyy hard to keep going.

And I’m still in the thick of burn out. Very much so.

BUT I’m not done.

I think I know deep down I’m not done trying here.
(As much as I’ve been telling myself I’m so done)

I’m just really tired. And ready for a break. And praying for some inspiration and a new fire in 2027.

We’ll finish out the year. Strong? Not really. More like limping to the finish line.

And then I will GLADLY welcome the turn towards cozy season.

Thanks for being here with me, though. Through the highs and lows. And honestly, the people are the ones still making it worth it. So thank you!

We all know that summer goes by too fast and we don’t get to all the things we want to. But here is your last chance to pick SUMMER flowers out here at Wild Flower Farm!��Join us Saturday afternoon to get every last summer flower there is! Zinnias, cosmos, marigolds … I love them, but I will be chopping them down soon!

(And yes, there WILL be some dahlia upicking … those dates are just a bit more random)

Whenever I’m scheduling something, whether it be an appointment or just a hang with friends, and I’m asked, “What are good days/times?” I don’t have an answer.

Most of my days are random, scattered, and I literally live hour to hour.

I have *some* consistency in my schedule, but not much. Especially during flower season. ��It’s chaotic and every year I vow to create some more structure (because I do much better in structure), but every year it goes out the window.

Maybe next year 😉

Today and tomorrow you’ll have me up to my neck in dahlias, and listening to Hadestown, and I’m not mad about it 😍

Do yourself two big favors:
- stop by the stand Thursday-Saturday to grab some dahlias for yourself
- watch Hadestown on prime

Both are giving me so much life in this exhausting stretch 🤍
