Is it just us or did summer just fly by like a leaf on a windy day? 🍁 Happy autumnal equinox, folks! Today the sun crosses the equator and we get almost exactly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of dark. The leaves are about to put on a show, and we cannot wait!

We've got some exciting news to share!

Here at Carolyn Stich Studio we will be hosting guest author and illustrator Beth Trembley for a Zine Workshop on Tuesday, October 6th!

Zine is a little handmade booklet made by you, about pretty much anything you want. It’s creative, personal, a little quirky, and doesn’t have to be perfect.

Join us for a fun evening of making 8 page zines from a single sheet of paper. Beth will guide you through the process with prompts to help you think about the people, places, little things, and big things that help keep you going when life gets hard.

You’ll leave with your own “good things” zine, plus a new little creative skill you can take home and make again with friends or family. Sign up at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2001028596398?aff=oddtdtcreator

Start your Monday with a little creativity! Grab a piece of paper, even a napkin will do. and a pencil, then tune in to WHTC.com at 7:50 AM this Monday to draw along with Carolyn!

This week's project is an autumn nemesis, the acorn! They are so cute individually, until there are thousands in your yard and you have to pick all of them up. Yikes! But fun to draw. Remember, it's not about creating a perfect drawing. It's about slowing down, enjoying the process, and taking a few moments for yourself.

WOW! Another Paint and Sip in the books! What a fun evening. We just love seeing all the beautiful interpretations of a simple leaf. Dang, we are good! Especially when we let go, give ourselves some grace, and let our inner artist shine. Thank you to everyone - we had a full house with Culture Cheese Shop's yummy accoutrements. We even made dirty sodas - happy hearts here!

Yes, this rainy Saturday is a perfect day for football, but for those of us who want to just jump to the end of the game to see who wins, there is another way to spend a rainy day. Come and color with us. Lots of coloring sheets to choose from and also Kids Food Basket bags to decorate. There might even be a cookie in it for you too. Whatever you decide to do, have a wonderful day. And may I add,
GO GREEN! 💚

Gouache gives you the brightness of acrylic with the softness of watercolor. It is Carolyn's go-to, and once you try it, you will see why!
