A little garden reset while I was in Michigan for the ADS National Dahlia Show.

I found stepping away from my own garden and spending time away especially refreshing. Every garden has its own personality and unique landscape, where the plants and spacing comes together.

Walking through Frederik Meijer Gardens reminded me that there really isn’t one “right” way to create a garden. Each one can be completely unique, and that’s part of what makes visiting gardens so inspiring.

I came home with a fresh perspective, a few new ideas, and an even greater appreciation for my own little patch here on the farm. 🌸

I can’t think of a better way to spend September than with dahlias. 🌸

There are two ways to enjoy them on the farm next month:

🌿 Our weekly Dahlia CSA begins September 10
🌸 Designing with Dahlias workshop on September 13

I’d love to share a little of the dahlia garden with you, whether you’re taking home a bouquet or joining me to design with the flowers. Come on by!
