I’m sharing a quick personal update here because I value being transparent with you.
Last week I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Thankfully it was caught early, and I’m moving forward with a treatment plan.
My surgery is scheduled for November 3, and I will most likely be closed the week of Nov 3 while I recover. After that, my hours and turnaround times may vary depending on treatment, but I’ll keep you updated and I’ll communicate clearly about timelines.
If you have a repair you were hoping to drop off or a gift deadline coming up, I’d encourage you to reach out sooner rather than later so we can plan around the schedule.
I also want to say: I’m not looking for sympathy—just a little grace and patience if I’m slower than usual for a bit.
If you’ve asked how to support me
The most helpful thing is simply continuing to support my small business in the ways that feel natural:
Shop small when you need a gift (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays)
Bring in repairs—especially costume jewelry repairs that other places won’t take
Share my page or a post with a friend who loves jewelry or needs gift ideas
Leave a quick review if you’ve shopped with me before (it helps people find me)
If you’re local: stop in during open hours (I’ll post updates as I know my schedule)
Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade work. I’m grateful for this community.
