ANNOUNCEMENT TLDR: we’re making a few changes to pricing in our Barn2Door store, effective monday, august 17th–but the price of a chicken from Riley Family Farms won’t change. new prices below 👇
🌱 30 Chicken Drums: price goes down from $49.00 to $39.00
🌱 30 Whole Wings: price goes down from $49.00 to $39.00
🌱 Chicken Broth Bones bulk pack: price goes down from $39.00 to $29.00
🌱 20 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts: price goes up from $129.00 to $139.00, effective monday
🌱 10 pack of Ground Chicken: price goes up from $99.00 to $109.00, effective monday
the ❓: every chicken we raise includes the breasts and thighs y’all love, but also drums, wings, and bones. we are grateful to sell the breast and thigh from nearly every chicken we process, but the boney cuts do tend to sit in our freezer. for our farm to be environmentally and financially sustainable, we know we need to do a better job selling the whole chicken.
how this won’t raise the 💰 of our chicken: it will actually lower it! while prices are going up on a few of our highest-demand cuts, we’re lowering prices on drums, wings, and bones. taken together, the price of buying an entire chicken from our online store is actually going down.
this isn’t about charging more for chicken—it’s about pricing each part in a way that helps us sell the whole bird, reduce waste, and keep raising pasture raised chicken sustainably ♻️
the good news: price increases won’t take effect until monday, so there’s still time to stock up on ground chicken and boneless skinless breasts at today’s prices. even better, the new lower prices on drums, wings, and bones are effective immediately. shop our Barn2Door store today, and as always, thank you for supporting our farm 🫶
