Dear Customers and friends:

We are pleased to announce that Mr. John Speier has joined us as the manager of our beloved shop, Ye Olde Rock Shoppe. Since Audrey’s stroke, we have thought on end about how to share our treasures with all of you. John has many years and great experience in the lapidary field and we are delighted to have him with us. Many of you probably know John and have dealt with him in the past. We’re sure that he will serve all of you with the dedication and interest we have always tried to impart.

Waiting for Fletch at Home Depot and observed this neat event. Apparently every Saturday, Home Depot gives free workshop for kids and they all get an apron, plus what they make. It was neat seeing so many parents bringing all their kids. Just thought we needed some happy news. Need to tell more happy things that happen in our areas. Good job, Home Depot and parents that bring their children.

Started out this morning for the shop and this beautiful Baltimore oriole was bathing in the driveway. What a wonderful way to start the day. Don’t get to see many of these. Isn’t Nature the best?!? #

A gentleman walked in with these two beauties for sale. They are honeycomb calcite. I’ve never seen anything that spreads warmth like these two do. They are 11 1/2 inches by 4 inches. I had to share them with you.

Just got released from doctor about my back. Fletch and I are celebrating at “Lester’s” on way to shop. It is so great to be able to take a “real” shower, drive, bend over and pick up my dog. I am and so is Fletch, he’s had to put up with a lot. I’m a happy
