One question I get asked often is, “Do you actually use your own soap?”

Claro que si!

These are the bars I currently have by my sink: Mima, Chiqui’s Avocado, Cafecito, and 1902; Libertad.

Each one tells a story. Some remind me of family, some of traditions, and some of the place that will always be home in my heart.

After all, Havana 78 was never just about soap. It’s about memories, culture, and the little things that connect us to who we are.

1902; Libertad.
A date that marked Cuba’s independence, yet the semi-colon remains because freedom for my Cuban people is still unfinished. The story did not end in 1902.

Today, May 20th, we honor the Cuba that once was, the Cuba carried in stories, music, cafecitos, exile, and memory. A people stripped of so much, yet never fully stripped of spirit. Porque aunque muchos sienten la esperanza cansada, todavía vive.

This bar was handcrafted in the colors of our flag with warm notes of bourbon, dark cherry & woods — inspired by resilience, nostalgia, and the longing for a free Cuba.
