Second Saturdays are back through the end of the year! The theme for the kickoff celebrates fall, honors all the colors and smells, and begins the holiday shopping season. We are ready to get out on the courthouse lawn and enjoy our community. We at the chamber love a reason to gather and keep our bonds strong. Our hope is for people to get out and celebrate what makes Jackson County special while supporting the businesses and the buildings that give us our distinct character.

We will have lawn games for everyone to enjoy. Participating businesses will feature seasonal samplings while you shop, encouraging you to linger a little and find that treasure you didn't notice before. We will have a historic hayrack ride featuring the history of some of the very buildings our businesses now inhabit. We are proud of our businesses, old and new, and welcome the chance to share our history, celebrate what is, and look to what can be.

Come for the shopping, stay for the community.

The Historic Hayrack Ride departs from 5th & New York at 11 am, 12 pm, and 1 pm, this guided tour promises to be a fun new way to look at downtown. Save those receipts, and for every $10 you spend with participating businesses, you earn one entry into a drawing for Chamber Bucks! Make sure you submit your receipts by 4 pm on Saturday. You can email them to [email protected] or send them via Facebook Messenger to the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. Join us, come out to play, learn a little, shop a lot, and make it a great day! See you there!
