🧵💛 SEWING SMILES, ONE PILLOWCASE AT A TIME! This September, Creative Traditions is excited to join Ryan’s Case for Smiles for the annual Miles of Pillowcase Smiles campaign! The national goal is BIG — 40,000 bright and cheerful pillowcases, one representing each child receiving cancer treatment in the United States — and we want our Creative Traditions community to help us add as many pillowcases as possible to that total! 😊
Here’s how you can help: sew a pillowcase and bring your completed pillowcase to Creative Traditions during the month of September. It’s important that pillowcases are dropped off with us so we can record every one donated and make sure YOUR pillowcase counts toward the national 40,000-pillowcase goal! 🪡💕
Then, at the beginning of October, Creative Traditions will gather ALL of the pillowcases our amazing community has made and deliver them together in one BIG donation to Children’s Hospital! ❤️ We can’t wait to see just how many smiles our local sewing community can create.
Pillowcases should be made from 100% cotton fabric, using fun, colorful novelty prints with no glitter, and fabric should be prewashed without scented detergent or dryer sheets. Need fabric, a pattern, or help with the specifications??? Come see us! We have plenty of colorful fabrics to choose from and can help you make sure your pillowcase is ready to donate.
So raid that stash, pick out something cheerful, or stop by Creative Traditions for inspiration and SEW us what our community can do! 🧵💛 Every pillowcase counts. Every stitch matters. And together, we can send a whole lot of comfort and smiles to kids who need them most. 😊
