BUILT FOR CHICAGOLAND CONDITIONS
Some installers place mailbox posts into the ground and surround them only with soil. Every Timberlane Gardens installation includes a drainage-stone base and fast-setting concrete for improved stability against leaning, twisting, wind, wet soil and ordinary seasonal movement.
We carefully position, plumb, level and temporarily support the post while the concrete sets.
No roadside mailbox can be guaranteed against severe soil or frost movement, unusual soil conditions, extreme weather, vandalism, or vehicle or snowplow impact.
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY
Every system includes a one-year limited workmanship warranty covering defects in our construction, assembly or installation.
We will inspect and repair, re-secure or replace covered work at our discretion without a labor charge.
The warranty excludes impact, vandalism, misuse, lawn-equipment damage, abnormal soil or frost movement, erosion, extreme weather, normal wood checking, movement or weathering, rust, fading, alterations, grading or drainage changes, utility work and undisclosed private underground lines.
The warranty applies at the original installation address. Complete warranty terms are available before purchase.

STANDARD-SITE CONDITIONS
Advertised pricing covers normal soil, ordinary roadside access and standard removal of an existing wooden mailbox post.
Additional charges may apply for large or deeply buried concrete footings, masonry or steel removal, rock, major roots, buried debris, private underground utilities, relocation, landscaping or pavement repair, permits or third-party fees, special HOA or municipal requirements, or unusual access and excavation conditions.
Any additional work and pricing will be explained and approved before the extra work begins.
USPS PLACEMENT GUIDELINES
Mailbox floors are generally positioned 41–45 inches above the road surface. Mailbox doors are generally positioned 6–8 inches behind the curb face or road edge.
Address numbers on grouped mailboxes are installed on the mailbox doors in contrasting characters at least one inch high.
Final placement is subject to the local postmaster, mail carrier, municipality, right-of-way conditions and existing delivery arrangement. The local post office should be contacted before relocating a mailbox or whenever proper placement is uncertain.
JULIE AND PRIVATE UNDERGROUND LINES
Because Timberlane Gardens performs the excavation, we will coordinate the required free JULIE utility-locate request before digging.
Work cannot begin until the legal starting time shown on the JULIE ticket and all required utility responses have been received.
JULIE does not locate every privately installed or privately owned underground line. Homeowners must disclose any known or suspected:
• Underground sprinkler systems
• Invisible pet fences
• Landscape-lighting wiring
• Private electrical lines
• Private gas or propane lines
• Private water or drainage lines
• Lines serving detached garages or outbuildings
• Pool or outdoor-equipment lines
• Septic or sewer systems
• Other privately installed underground facilities
A qualified private utility locator may be required before excavation.
HOA, MUNICIPAL AND SHARED-MAILBOX APPROVAL
The homeowner must confirm that the mailbox design, color, size, location, solar light, address numbers and construction comply with applicable HOA rules, subdivision standards, municipal regulations, easements and recorded covenants.
Timberlane Gardens can provide photographs and basic specifications, but the homeowner is responsible for obtaining any required approval.
If the mailbox system will be shared by multiple households, the customer arranging the installation must obtain approval from the other participating property owners before installation.
WOOD FINISH AND OPTIONAL STAINING
Pressure-treated wood is supplied in its natural finish as standard.
