As I hang up my cutters after 7 years of wedding floral design, I can reminisce on many many hours of planning, chicken wire cutting, travel and juggling. So many positive memories helping people on their special days, seeing happy reactions and coming together to make beautiful things.
Everything from building 7 foot greenery archways, pulling off elaborate tent designs, to hundreds of centerpieces, it’s been a wild and fulfilling ride, most of the time with a baby on my hip.
This change has been a heavy one on my mind, but I am looking forward to the next chapter.
As for the future, winter wreath classes will be a tradition I will continue on, as well as wholesale flowers and leaning on perennial production, and staying put on the farm with my family are my goals.
Next weekend will be my 100th and final wedding.
To allI my past brides, it’s been a pleasure flowering for you 💐
