🐣 Tomorrow we have a great looking batch of female chicks ready to go to their new homes! 🐥

🥚We have some of all of these breeds at the farm & know they are all great layers, overall pretty friendly, and are hardy to our area - handling the heat and cold very well. Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks also make a good dual purpose breed. 🍳

👀 CT Garvin Feed & Seed is a small, family owned and operated business. We take the selling of live animals very seriously. We reserve the right to refuse sale. Chickens are not an impulse buy. They are not for everyone. It’s a big commitment and responsibility, especially for these chicks that are 3 days old. The price of eggs is comical compared to the price of a coop, food throughout the year, predator control, and equipment. We do not have a minimum (sometimes you just need to replace one or two), but we suggest at least 3. We want to be very clear about these things before we send chicks home to people not prepared to take care of living creatures. 👍

As I slipped on the ol' steel toes this morning, I was filled with emotions.
Today is my last day

After 8 years, it is time to see what I can do. I will miss the coworkers who turned into friends and family. I have spent more time with them than my own family. ❤

Keep an eye out to see what the next chapter looks like, it is going to be exciting.
