Benefits of synthetic:

BioThane and Beta products are all made by the BioThane USA, a coated webbing products company in Ohio. They take a polyester webbing and put a coated extrusion on the outside to protect it from the weather, saliva, sweat, etc., so they can last a long time.

Imagine you take a harness and you put it upstairs in the attic, a leather harness. Your grandkids come by 15 years later and you decide to bring it down. It's probably dry-rotted. You can do the same thing with BioThane. 15 years later you bring it back down. It's probably just as good as the day you put it up there!
