Well… this is it. 🥹 Today, we close our online store. Like for real, for real.
And all the feels came out to play today... Grateful. Nostalgic. Proud. A little (OK a lot!) emotional. 😭 But also weirdly ready.
We started in 2005 as a little wedding resource center that served pineapple iced tea and hosted Wednesday Night Workshops. Then our brides became shoppers and our shoppers became brides.
And somewhere along the way, we moved to Ward, brought in retail, threw some crazy sales and then… Eden in Love was born. ✨
At first, Eden was just a store. But over time, it was obvious Eden was so much more.
You showed me that as we pivoted and changed throughout the years. Your unwavering support that went from weddings to retail, brick and mortar to online never went unnoticed. Our quiet heartbeat through emails and posts became our connection. We shared stories and opened up for you, with you and to be closer to you. That was always the heart of Eden.
In 2015, we wrote this goal on our chalkboard: “To have people say, ‘That’s so Eden.’” And you did. You got it.
You wore us. Gifted us. Took our totes around the world (so many totes 🙂↔️). You shared us with your friends, your families, your tour guides, your bus drivers, your favorite baristas and to total strangers. And by doing so, you shared our story. That’s so Eden.
And behind the scenes? It’s been the same heart (of Eden) all along.
Olivia has been with me for 15 years, Alyssa for 14. And the most full-circle moment of all? Karen was the original owner of The Wedding Cafe, our first business 22 years ago. Full circle. Fuller heart. ❤️
And now? No more sales. No more inventory drops.
No more “just one more restock.” No more pop-ups (ok wait… maybe a pop-up or two because we have zero self-control 🙃).
Just us… stepping into whatever’s next.
Lighter. Braver. A little scared. But mostly excited. You know what’s coming next… yup, we ride at dawn. 😆
Because if we could have built this with you…
we already know the next chapter is going to be even greater.
We’ll find each other again. We always do.
