Thought I’d share a real store-owner dilemma.

Natural stone, wood beads and handmade items rarely look all the same. Since going online- the daily struggle is how to show things that are truly one of a kind- as items on a website. How to have a small group of photos represent the multiple variations 🤔

The wood strands in this photo are all the SAME wood- different trees, different seasons, different nutrition, different weather. Which one will show up in your order? 🫣🤯😳 PS. We don’t sell these online for that reason.

Thank goodness for live streaming, brick and mortar and humans that ❤️to communicate and interact.

😬 Used to stress about this stuff. Making sure we were “transparent” “honest” “customer forward” “consistent” “on brand”. Year 29 - i don’t need reminders on how to do my job 🤪, I just need to remind myself that I brought my best ❤️.

Jewelry of the day- it’s still happening! I’ve been super conscious of what I’ve been wearing as a result. Usually I throw one of my thousand pieces without a lot of thought. (3 decades of jewelry making adds up to a lot!)

Now when I layer- I check to see if the pieces layer nicely, look good together. And does it match my mood for simplicity, or self expression or sentimental moments. Wearing jewelry with this much awareness - it’s been enlightening. 🤔🥰

It’s also spurred me onto thinking about some new styles to make layering and interchangeability easier. Brain churn is ON!
