We are a year round locally owned garden center. Spring through fall we have thousands of plants to choose from! Trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, organically grown vegetables, herb plants and houseplants, OH MY we love plants! We also have a wide selection of soils, seeds, tools, decorative garden items pottery and more. Gift certificates are available by phone and in store. Don't forget during

Christmas time when Maria and staff make the most beautiful wreaths for your holiday décor. We always have a large selection of live Christmas trees, garland by the foot, houseplants, poinsettias and gifts. We are always coming up with new and fun holiday gift ideas. The gardener in your life will be so grateful for a Good News gift certificate in their stocking.

Hello friends! We are working to keep our staff and customers safe and healthy by closing again today at noon.

Our tomato cages are back in stock! 🍅

If your tomatoes are starting to lean, flop, or outgrow the support they're on, now's a great time to give them a little extra help before they get even bigger. 🤗 A sturdy cage keeps fruit off the ground (reducing fruit loss due to mold or pests), improves airflow, and makes harvesting a whole lot easier later in the season.

We've got 42" and 54" cages: we don't expect these to stick around for long, so if you've been waiting, now's the time to swing by!

Vanessa is currently ✨obsessed✨ with the Congo Green Philodendron! And we can see why. They have large, glossy leaves, a naturally full shape, and they're surprisingly easy to care for, even if you're still building your houseplant confidence!

A few reasons the Good News Team loves them:

🌿 They tolerate your average indoor conditions and don't need constant attention.

💧 They like bright, indirect light and prefer to dry slightly between waterings.

Help your plants beat the heat! 😎🌤

Did you know shade cloth and mulch are two of the best protective measures you can take for your plants?

Shade cloth helps reduce intense afternoon sun and lowers leaf temperatures, preventing sunscald and heat stress on vegetables, flowers, and young shrubs.

Mulch works differently by insulating the soil. It keeps roots cooler, slows evaporation, and helps your plants stay hydrated longer between waterings. As a bonus, it also helps reduce weeds.

If you've noticed your plants wilting in the afternoon, they may not actually need more water. They may just need a little protection from the heat.

We've got a heat wave coming! 🔥🔥🔥

We might be adjusting our hours in order to keep our employees safe and well. We won't be changing our hours on Google but we will be sure to keep you all posted via our social media. Please check our stories to stay up-to-date on any early closures.

That being said, we have a special place in our heart for mornings around the garden. 🌿✨ We sorta think it's the loveliest time to enjoy our spaces!
