Lots of chatter going on about Trout Spey as of late. There are certainly plenty of trout folks out there wondering what all the hype is about. Beyond the fun factor, many of the same Spey advantages that benefit steelhead anglers also apply to streamer fishing for trout. Turn over sink tips and weighted flies with ease. Fire out a long one in spots where bankside vegetation makes single-hand casting near impossible. Achieve much greater distance when trying to reach structure in the middle of the river. Efficiently and methodically cover huge pieces of water . Trout Spey is not just another niche way to fish. It's an extremely effective way to find big grabby fish!
