The weekend wasn’t what I hoped for going into it, but I left with more knowledge than I started with. Thank you Nikki and Greda for being there and helping me with the booth. And thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi and gave me a follow here! I can’t wait to do it again.

First day of the Southern Trade Days market down! I’ve learned alot today doing my biggest market yet with other talented crochet artists.

1. Comparing your own work to others is an endless hole of self doubt. I realized that just because someone else has similar items and is an amazing artist, doesn’t diminish the fact I also am a talented artist who makes incredible things!

2. Your neighbors can make the event, even if you’re not selling alot! We are lucky to have awesome vendors around us to pass the time and have some laughs.

3. Sales do not equal success. Some days are better than others. That’s not a reflection on your talent or craft. It’s just the way things are sometimes.

I also realized I don’t share enough of my finished items. So, here’s a bunch of stuff available at my booth from the end of the day! If you’re free between 10-5 tomorrow please stop by the Finley Center in Hoover (by the Met) and shop my booth. If you mention seeing this post I’ll take $5 off your purchase! If you’re local and see something you like, send me a message! If you’re not local, but something catches your eye let me know and we can work something out. I also do commissions: baby blankets, personalized loaf cats to match your cat, etc. If you have an idea I’d love to collaborate and make it happen.

I’m excited to do this more and meet even more of you. Thanks for supporting me!

Gearing up for my biggest vendor event yet! Bean (the kitty) is my number one supporter and very helpful when I’m coming up with new ideas.
