Finish line. 40 miles, three double a batteries for my mic, smiles for miles, hugs a plenty. All I can say about DFO is that it fills my cup full, not to mention I was given multiple cups and Drinking Vessels by artists that I respect and appreciate. I can’t really say enough about this event besides the fact that it is the true definition of borosilicate, art, and pipe making in your face. Raw, hot, under pressure, and completeIy real. I must proudly admit that I did vote for laceface and blossom, and when anybody asked who I was gonna vote for, I wholeheartedly mentioned them… Why you may ask? I’ve almost never seen two glass artists come together in a way that just compliments each other in such a perfect way. You two ladies did just that. You deserve the hell out of that win. Lacey, I’m so happy for you that you’re back on the torch and able to play with Big Glass again, it made me really sad to hear that you weren’t able to practice your love and passion, and you were worried about possibly not being able to blow Glass anymore, that was less than a year ago,, Today you took home the trophy.🏆 Super fu***ng proud of you and stupid proud of blossom! You ladies work together like peanut butter and jelly, coffee and cream, cannabis and Glass,,, it just works.
