WE WILL NEVER FORGET SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

To the brave men and women of the FDNY, NYPD, our Armed Forces, first responders, and all who have answered the call to serve and protect:

We honor and appreciate you every day, but especially at this time, as we remember the lives lost and the extraordinary sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy. We remember those who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape. We remember those who gave their lives so that others might live.

We also remember the families who lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and fellow Americans. The passing of time will never diminish their sacrifice or erase their memory.

To those who continue to serve today: please know that your courage, commitment, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. You and your families remain in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers.

May we never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy or the men and women who stand ready to defend and protect them.

May God comfort the families who still carry the pain of that day. May He watch over those who continue to serve. And may we, as a nation, never forget.
