The NWTF Virginia State Chapter is THRILLED to announce our 12th Annual Fall Youth Deer Weekend Facebook Photo Contest, happening THIS WEEKEND — September 26 & 27, 2026! 🎉 This is one of our favorite weekends of the year — a chance for Virginia’s young hunters to get outdoors, spend time with family and mentors, make lifelong memories, and experience the excitement of the hunt! And we’ve got something EXTRA special for TWO lucky young hunters! 🤩

That’s right! We’ll select one winner from each age group:
🎯 11 & Under
🎯 Ages 12–15
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HARVEST A DEER TO WIN!
Success in the outdoors isn’t measured only by filling a tag. It’s about the experience, the people you share it with, what you learn, and the memories you make along the way.
So whether you harvest your first deer, see the biggest buck of your life walk just out of range, or simply spend a great morning in the woods with someone special — WE WANT TO SEE YOUR YOUTH DEER WEEKEND ADVENTURE! 🦌🌲
🎯 HOW TO ENTER:
• Open to youth hunters 15 years old and younger hunting in Virginia during Youth & Apprentice Deer Hunting Weekend — September 26 & 27, 2026.
• There will be TWO WINNERS — one in the 11 & Under division and one in the 13–15 division.
• LIKE and FOLLOW the NWTF Virginia State Chapter page so you don’t miss contest updates or the winner announcements!
• Post your photo in the comments of the OFFICIAL CONTEST THREAD which will become available Saturday, September 26th.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Photos posted only on shared versions of this post WILL NOT be counted. Your photo must be placed in the comments of the original NWTF Virginia State Chapter contest post that will become available Saturday.
• Your photo should show the young hunter out enjoying Youth Deer Weekend with their fi***rm or archery equipment.
🦌 A harvested deer is NOT required to enter!
• Please include the hunter’s: First Name, Last Initial, Age, and City or County of Residence. Example (Jane D. 12, Richmond)
⏰ ENTRY DEADLINE: All photos must be submitted in the official contest thread by MIDNIGHT on Monday, September 28, 2026.
📋 CHECK YOUR ENTRY! We’ll post a list of eligible entries on Tuesday, September 29 so everyone has an opportunity to make sure their name is included. If we missed your entry or something needs to be corrected, let us know by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 30.

The two winners will be randomly selectednd announced on Friday, October 2, 2026!
We’ll verify eligibility and information with the winners before prizes are awarded, so please make sure the information submitted with your photo is accurate.
