🎁😂 YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO FIND! 😂🎁

This is one of my favorite things about treasure hunting!

I bought a boxed snowman cookie jar and opened it just enough to make sure the snowman wasn’t chipped. There was paper tucked inside, so I didn’t think much about it. I brought it home, started unpacking everything, and SURPRISE! 😲

Inside were these adorable little vintage Santa mugs AND a vintage Christmas tree coffee mug from Germany! 🎅🎄

I had no idea those little Santas were hiding in there! Turns out, they’re marked Japan and are believed to be from the 1950s–60s. They’re highly collectible little pieces of Christmas past!

The German coffee mug found a new home from my booth, and the Santa mugs ended up finding a buyer on eBay. ❤️

It just goes to show that sometimes the best treasures are the ones you didn’t even know you were buying!

That’s what keeps me going back to yard sales, thrift stores, and estate sales. You never know what story is waiting to be uncovered. 🌿

🌿🐦 LET’S TALK THRIFT STORE TREASURES! 🐦🌿

You know I can’t pass up a good treasure hunt! 😂 I found a few goodies at Goodwill recently, and of course, I had to bring some treasures home!

There’s just something about digging through the shelves and never knowing what you might find. Sometimes the best treasures are hiding in plain sight! 🥰

🍂 TIRED TUESDAY 🍂

I don’t know about you, but this beautiful fall weather has me in winter-prep mode! 😂

I stopped by Wren & Willow this morning to tidy up a few things in the new booth, then came home and got busy pressure washing, working on the farm stand, and trying to get as much done outside as I possibly can while the weather is this gorgeous. 🌿☀️

Of course, now I’m tired… but it’s the good kind of tired. The kind where you look around and think, “Well, I got a lot done today!” ❤️

🌿 HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED FOR THE LITTLE THINGS?

Have you ever been walking through a yard sale or thrift store and stopped to look at the little things?

The things that might only cost 50 cents or a dollar… but make you wonder, Who used this? How old is it? What was it originally meant for?

That’s one of my favorite parts of treasure hunting. ❤️

Here are a few little finds that caught my eye:

🍇 Vintage Glass One-Cup Measuring Cup — decorated with a raised grape-and-vine design, this is the kind of practical kitchen piece that would have been right at home in a mid-century kitchen. Mid-century era.

🥄 Vintage Aluminum Covered Kitchen Pot — simple, practical and made for everyday use. This type of aluminum kitchenware was especially common in the mid-20th century, roughly the 1940s–1960s.

🐄 Fisher-Price Milk Wagon #131 — this little wooden-and-plastic toy dates to 1964–1972. It was made to look like a miniature milk delivery wagon — complete with milk bottles. 🥛

🍬 Vintage Peppermint Swirl Glass Bowls — those red-and-clear swirls immediately caught my eye! They have that wonderful mid-century art-glass look and are just the kind of little pieces that are easy to overlook at a sale.

And the best part?

I didn’t pay much for any of them. That’s what makes hunting for vintage so much fun!

You don’t always have to find something rare or expensive. Sometimes it’s the 50-cent treasure sitting quietly on a table that ends up having the best story. 🥰

🍔🥤 A LITTLE PIECE OF McDONALD’S HISTORY! 🥤🍔

These aren’t just old drinking glasses — they’re little pieces of early McDonald’s history!

The green glasses date to 1948, the same year the McDonald brothers introduced their Speedee Service System and their famous 15¢ hamburgers. The glasses even carry that “Famous 15¢ Hamburgers” wording.

Then we jump ahead to 1961 with these blue McDonald’s glasses, featuring the early Golden Arches-era branding. Examples of this exact style are documented with 1961 marked on the glass.

I love how much history is packed into something as simple as a drinking glass.

Imagine sitting down at a McDonald’s all those years ago and drinking your soda out of one of these!

🐦🌿 DAY ONE OF REMODELING! 🔨🤍

That’s a wrap for today! Well… at least until I can get back to it. 😂

I’ve started whitewashing the walls, but I ran out of time and left part of it untouched. Now I’m curious what YOU think!

🤍 Do you like the whitewash as it is, or do you think I should add another coat?
