Have you noticed the cool glass inserts being installed atop the first floor of 803 South Main Street? They are salvaged prisms from the Phoenix Building that was demolished at the corner of 9th & Main - just across the street - not too long ago. This spectacular space is under renovation and will soon house a new business coming in October. The second pic is the conceptual drawing. What do you think?!? That's right - a full service quilting, needlepoint & stitchery establishment is opening in the Hopkinsville Downtown Renaissance District on East 6th Street. Over the last year or so, several beautiful murals have been created in the Hopkinsville Downtown Renaissance District. We're showcasing some of those in this post - Hopkinsville-Christian County Downtown Farmers Market, Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, WB Express & Byers & Harvey, Real Estate & Property Management (Hopkinsville office).

BUT, we're also seeking input from the community regarding a potential location for a mural honoring Bird Dog who recently passed away. A local artist has stepped forward and is seeking a large, permanent wall to create a portrait of him. Share your suggestions here.

We enjoyed getting to see folks strolling through the Hopkinsville Downtown Renaissance District this evening as part of the celebration of the Hopkinsville Downtown Entertainment District establishment. We LOVE it when people are supporting the fabulous businesses located downtown. Thank you Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation for organizing the event.
