What a fabulous opportunity for kids this summer. Thank you Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County & thank you Mayor Knight.

As part of our free admission program for children and students this summer (thanks to a generous partnership with Mayor J.R. Knight and the City of Hopkinsville), we also have some special free programs planned with some of the museum's friends:

On Thursday, July 23 at 10:30am, Hopkinsville Fire/EMS will be at the Pennyroyal Area Museum to share all about their work as firefighters. Join us to get a close-up experience with one of their firetrucks and a lesson in fire safety.

We took a stroll around the Hopkinsville Downtown Renaissance District on this beautiful Juneteenth Day & couldn't help noticing all the beautiful landscaped beds, hanging baskets & decorative flower pots. You should stroll some this weekend & stop in for a bite, a drink, a book or another purchase from the many locally owned businesses.

Don't forget about tonight's Squealin' on the Square BBQ Cookoff! Tents are set up, grills are getting fired up and a fabulous aroma will soon be filling the air. And thank you to Hopkinsville Brewing Company for allowing the event in your tap room! Be sure to come out and support this effort - you'll be contributing to a cause that helps some of our community's most vulnerable populations. Doors open at 5 PM when the auction begins.
