Got a freebie alert first thing this morning. Someone had sat out two huge totes of free kids books on curb. Someone else got to them before I did (waaah) but I was in an area with lots of Little Free Libraries I haven't checked out before. I found 10 new ones and was able to trade for around 100 books! The last one was repping my favorite book.

Pretty often I see books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library when I refill the Little Free Libraries around town. I have given donations to the organization a few times over the years.

I'm planning to start trading some of my books for some of the good condition ones I see, making childrens' book lots to sell on Ebay then donating the proceeds to put more books in the hands of children everywhere. As a bookseller, this is going to be a fun treasure hunt and a way to give back in honor of someone who gave so much to the world through her beautiful talent, giving heart and her lifelong love of books and children.

If you see any at yard sales, in your grandchildren and kids' belongings they no longer want or need that you'd like to donate for my project, I would love to pick them up if you are located in or near Olive Branch. Send me a message and we will set up a pick up. Let's have fun with this together!
