Little life update… I haven’t talked much about the fire because really it was just all too much. I’ve been through a lot of crazy fu**ed up s**t in my life but none as scary as what we went through last summer. The fire was so fierce and so fast. The winds were insane. Within hours of seeing it here from our front yard our little river community was gone. We drove through 8 miles of it on both sides of us in the dark on a winding river road with no fire personnel anywhere. We watched our friends and neighbors houses burn to the ground as debris bounced off our cars and we dodged fallen trees, horses and burning vehicles in the road. It was absolutely terrifying and there were moments we thought we would not make it out alive. Honestly I don’t know how we did, there were others not so lucky. We were gone almost a month before we could return home. We are so grateful we still have a home and so sad for our community that burned down. Packages may be delayed now a little since our local post office burned with no plans yet of reopening. We must now drive an hour to the nearest town to send you your goods. I am so thankful for all our great friends who put us up during that month we were evacuated and for all of you for the continued love and support. 🧡
