A Heartfelt Goodbye to Cookie Abramowitz
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Florence "Cookie" Abramowitz, beloved mother of Eric Abramowitz. Cookie passed away peacefully on May 1st at the age of 85.
Many of you may not know that Cookie is the reason we keep a bowl of caramel cremes at the counter. On the very first day our store opened, she handed them out to customers, believing that a small sweet could brighten someone's day. Seventeen years later, that tradition still stands—a testament to her spirit and the simple act of kindness that perfectly captured who she was. Cookie was a professional clown who spent her life bringing joy and laughter to others, and that gift lives on in every caramel creme we share.
Cookie's warmth, generosity, and infectious smile touched everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved deeply and lived fully.
Please note: Our store will have limited staff on Monday, May 4th as we celebrate Cookie's life. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society in Cookie's memory.
Thank you for keeping Eric and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
