There is just something magical about late summer nights in Georgia. 🌿✨

The air finally cools down, the chorus of cicadas and tree frogs fills the evening, and everything seems to slow down for a little while. Sitting outside surrounded by my plant collection, watching new leaves unfurl and soaking in the quiet, is one of my favorite ways to end the day.

These little moments remind me that happiness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just plants, a porch, and the soundtrack of a Georgia summer night. 💚🌙

🌿 Plant of the Day: Philodendron Gloriosum 🌿

If elegance had a plant form, it would be the Philodendron Gloriosum. With its massive heart-shaped leaves, velvety texture, and bright white veins, this crawler knows how to make a statement.

Unlike climbing philodendrons, the Gloriosum grows along the surface of the soil, slowly stretching out and rewarding patience with bigger and more beautiful leaves over time. Every new leaf feels like an event, and somehow each one is more impressive than the last.

A true collector favorite and proof that slow growth can still be spectacular. 💚

Some plants are beautiful. Some plants are impressive. And then there are plants that stop you in your tracks.

The Anthurium Villenaorum × Croat is all about those incredible velvety leaves, dramatic veining, and rich texture that only gets better as it matures. Every new leaf emerges a little larger and more stunning than the last, making the wait completely worth it.

This is one of those plants that reminds me why I love collecting—unique, elegant, and impossible to ignore. 💚

Plant Hack of the Day!

Before you spend money on expensive clear pots, take a look around your house. Clear and cloudy plastic cups make amazing plant pots with just a little DIY!

For this Anthurium, I simply used a soldering iron to add drainage holes to a plastic cup. Now I can easily monitor root growth and moisture levels just like I would in a store-bought clear pot—at a fraction of the cost.

Sometimes the best plant supplies aren’t in the garden center… they’re already in your kitchen cabinet. 🌱

🖤🌿 Plant of the Day: Alocasia Polly 🌿🖤

The Alocasia Polly may be compact, but it brings major drama. With its deep green leaves, bold silver veins, and striking arrowhead shape, it looks like something straight out of a tropical rainforest.

This plant definitely likes to keep its owner on their toes, but when it’s happy, every new leaf feels like a work of art. Elegant, moody, and impossible to ignore, the Polly proves that great things come in small packages.
