As many of you know, Parker’s Country Mercantile-Flea Market has recently suffered the greatest loss we could have ever imagined; the sudden and heartbreaking passing of our beloved owner, David Parker.
For those of you who had the privilege of walking through the doors of Parker’s while David and his loyal pup Ruby Gene were there to greet you, you already know what a wonderful part he was in this community.
David wasn’t just a business owner. He was a father, a son, a brother, a mentor, and a friend to everyone he met. His kindness was unmatched. His hands were always busy helping someone, and his ears were always open for a conversation with anyone.
David believed in hard work, and in building something that mattered. Parker’s wasn’t just a business to him, it was a place where stories were shared, friendships were formed, and community was built.
To the vendors who have stood by us during this time, who have continued to bring their talents, treasures, and their presence even when everything felt heavy and unsure, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And to our customers who have continued to support us, your kind words, your continued visits, your purchases, your prayers, we thank you for being apart of keeping David’s legacy alive.
His passing has left us not only heartbroken but deeply shaken. The future of Parker’s Country Mercantile-Flea Market is still uncertain, but we are figuring it out one day at a time.
Our doors are still open. Our vendors have amazing items waiting to be discovered. And we have big sales happening.
David Parker may no longer be with us in person, but his spirit lives in every square foot of Parker’s.
We all miss him deeply, and we always will. Thank you for making his dreams come true for so many years. ❤️
