With much thought and consideration, it saddens me to announce that I will be closing Lucy’s Kid Closet. Thank you to all who have supported my shop. It has been an honor to meet such amazing moms, dads, grandparents, aunties, and especially the littles. One of the best perks was meeting them with these bright eyes, cheerful smiles, and innocence not known to most adults. As the adults, we really should be actually listening and taking notes from the little ones, who seem to have it together much more than we do occasionally. Children forgive us even if we aren’t as forgiving, they bring joy and fun to those around them, and they’re assertive. They don’t judge nearly as much as we do and are unburdened by our burdens. They really have no cares in the world. I also really enjoyed meeting the moms in our beautiful community. You all have taught me so much of what it means to be a mother, from how to treat kids and how to relate to them to being there for them. I wanted to really bond with this community and the mothers. That was the hope and dream for my store. That I could turn it into a mom place and have support groups, baby playtimes, breastfeeding groups (because it’s no fun), and kid craft days. Unfortunately, with life and its curveballs, I don’t have the time, finances, or resources to put into my store as it deserves. On that note though, if anyone else is interested and has a dream such as mine, PM me to buy my inventory! I truly believe that our community needs a store like this. It’s great for moms who need to bring in some income but also need to have a flexible schedule and want to bring their babies to work with them. It’s a lot of work but in the long run, I believe it is worth it. I will be having a lot of deals this month. Nothing will be over $5, so come shop! I have lots of nice back to school clothes, hunting, and fall inventory! Thank you for everything.
